Guests become "members" of The Claremont Club during their stay. The fitness facility at The Club features computerized aerobic equipment, a multi-purpose aerobic gym, weight machines, and fifty mind and body fitness classes weekly, ranging from low-impact aerobics to yoga and dance. The tennis center is comprised of ten hard courts (six lighted). Professional instruction is available year round. Jordan's at The Claremont is the resort's award-winning restaurant overlooking the San Francisco Bay. Executive Chef Thomas Hanson oversees the menu, which emphasizes California Cuisine with a French influence. Ingredients indigenous to Northern California are utilized, such as San Joaquin Valley fruits and vegetables, Monterey prawns, Napa cheese, Sonoma lamb, and bountiful produce, regionally grown. Jordan's also offers health-oriented gourmet menu options, coined "Lifestyle Cuisine." Jordan's is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. The Paragon Bar & Café is a lively, sophisticated casual dining alternative to our fine dining experience, Jordan's. Featuring stunning views of the San Francisco Bay, a large selection of hand-shaken cocktails, and a cafe style menu, Paragon is open daily for dinner and lunch on Sundays. It's the perfect place for a light meal, cocktails and appetizers before dinner, or dessert and an after-dinner drink. Paragon offers jazz music four nights a week and outdoor deck seating. The Bayview Café, located near the aquatic center, serves lunch in a casual setting, also available al fresco. The menu features lighter fare such as salads and sandwiches. 30,000 square feet of function space includes 24 separate meeting rooms (nine of which have T-1 internet access), The Empire Ballroom, and The Claremont Ballroom, which can hold up to 500 people. All of our meeting rooms are equipped with high-speed internet access and Wi-Fi capability. The "Living Room" is a residential-type meeting room designed for planning sessions in a relaxed setting. Several meeting rooms offer views of San Francisco Bay. Events can also take place poolside or in Claremont's Poolside Arbor. In 1999, the Conference Mezzanine Level underwent a comprehensive renovation and now features luxurious appointments and comfortable surroundings. Fitness Break options are available as an alternative to the normal coffee break. A Claremont fitness instructor will lead the group through invigorating stretching and breathing exercises or escort a brisk walk. Energizer lunches are also available, complemented with a presentation by Claremont Nutritionist, Linda Prout, M.S. Additionally, The Claremont has partnered with Adventure Associates, Inc., to provide on-site, year-round, adventure-based learning programs and traditional training workshops.
